Jerome

A native to Chicago, Jerome is a founding member of Focused Interruption having spent over 20 years committed to working with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals. He is also the State Director of EXPO (EX-incarcerated People Organizing) with prior roles that include the Dane County Re-Entry Coordinator and Director of Re-Entry/Advocacy Services for the Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development.
Jerome is focused on providing an avenue for those currently incarcerated and those returning to the community. He co-founded and is President of Voices Beyond Bars, a peer support/mentoring organization for formerly incarcerated men and women. He serves on several State Advisory Committees and was appointed to the Wisconsin Joint Legislative Council Committee on Reducing Recidivism and Removing Impediments to Ex-Offender Employment, as well as working with many initiatives inside the Wisconsin prison system.
